4. Teaching Paradigms 1.0

magludi1

The use of these educational paradigms help you prepare your mindset to engage in the type of self-learning required to make changes in your practice. A learner-centered paradigm better supports teachers-as-learners. They learn best through a community of shared learners, or in other words, teachers learn best when collaborating with their peers. Great teachers have a tendency to be life-long learners who take both faculty enrichment and professional development very seriously and view these activities as catalysts for positive change. They are less likely to complain about attending faculty enrichment activities because they more likely value (believe in) learning and growing as they chose to engage in teaching as a profession. Remember, with choice comes responsibility. These teachers are more likely to perceive these activities as opportunities to foster their craft and to demonstrate their ability.
