However, we cannot guarantee absolute protection and are not responsible if an idea is copied, stolen, or used without permission. No online platform can offer perfect security against determined actors. 4. Author Responsibility - It remains the personal responsibility of each idea author to guard their own ideas and to grow them. Authors should carefully decide what to make public, what to keep private, and how much detail to share with any interested party. 5. Mechanisms Against Unfair Behavior - We have developed novel mechanisms intended to make the names of those who clearly violate these policies publicly visible. These tools are imperfect: they can be abused, gamed, or circumvented, and they do not fully protect participants from users who choose to act unfairly. They are a deterrent and a transparency measure, not a complete solution. 6. Context of the Project - The 1st Idea Bank is part of the broader Everyday Life Game: Game of Ideas. It should be understood and treated as such — a collaborative, experimental layer of the Fair Game of Life rather than a formal legal or commercial service. 7. Relationship to Existing Systems - This project does not replace and is not competing with established methods of idea protection and development, including but not limited to: The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and other national patent offices Professional inventor–investor matching platforms Traditional NDAs, trade-secret practices, and formal intellectual-property counsel The 1st Idea Bank is a complementary early-stage tool. Participants are encouraged to use conventional legal and commercial channels whenever appropriate.
